4 Ways to Fung Shui your Space for 2018

A New Year brings in a new chance to transform your space and create balance and vibrant energy all around you. This year I’m all for positive energy! That’s why I’ve decided to implement some basic practices of feng shui (I feel great just saying it!) in the areas where I spend more of my time.
Feng shui was developed over 3,000 years ago in China and is meant to teach us how to balance the energies in any given space. Whether it’s your home, office or anything in between, here are some easy tips to get the wheels of good fortune turning!
-
Clear Out that Clutter - Your energy needs to be able to flow freely throughout your space. Clutter disrupts this and creates negative energy. Take a 10 - 15 minutes a day to start that load of laundry on the floor, throw away those magazines you’ll only ever read once and sort out that stack of mail. A clear space equals a clear mind!
-
Be Mindful of Mirrors - There are so many do’s and don’ts when it comes to Feng Shui and mirrors that this could be a blog in itself, but one tip here is to always hand your mirrors where you can see your full self, your aura. At the least, your entire head and shoulders should always be reflected. Mirrors that cut you off at the head level can leave you with headaches or disconnected thoughts.
-
Enter the Space with Positive Energy - The house gets its Chi, or energy, through the front door. Plants are a way to invite positive energies. Try placing a tall healthy plant at the entrance to make sure that every first step into your home is a positive one!
-
It Takes Two! - For everyone out there looking for love in 2018, make sure your space is ready for when you find it! Two end tables on each side of your couch and bed are necessary. This shows that you are open to having another person share your space.
